Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct identifies the standard of behavior which is expected of all Jiu-Jitsu B.C. members, including students, coaches, instructors, directors, volunteers, and staff.

Jiu-Jitsu B.C. is committed to providing an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect. Members of Jiu-Jitsu B.C. shall conduct themselves at all times in a fair and responsible manner. Members shall refrain from comments or behaviors that are disrespectful, offensive, abusive, racist, or sexist. In particular, Jiu-Jitsu B.C will not tolerate behavior that constitutes harassment or abuse.

During the course of all Jiu-Jitsu B.C. activities and events, members shall avoid behavior which brings Jiu-Jitsu B.C. or Jiu-jitsu into disrepute, including but not limited to abusive use of alcohol or non-medicinal drugs.

Jiu-Jitsu B.C. members shall at all times adhere to Jiu-Jitsu B.C.’s operational policies and procedures, to rules governing Jiu-Jitsu B.C. events and activities and to rules governing any competitions, assemblies or seminars in which the member participates on behalf of Jiu-Jitsu B.C.

Members of Jiu-Jitsu B.C. shall not engage in any activity or behavior that interferes with or endangers the safety of others.

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action.  Such action may result in the member losing the privileges that come with membership in Jiu-Jitsu B.C., including the opportunity to participate in Jiu-Jitsu B.C. activities.
